Ps3 Console – Ps3 Slim 120Gb Was Worth The Wait!

I’ve been waiting for the PS3 Console price drop and the 45mn tech it seems like forever. Well, it’s here, and it’s spectacular. Just wanted to give a few quick impressions…

+ It’s whisper quiet. Quieter than my xbox 360, when the 360 is playing off the hard drive, and the PS3 Console is playing off a blu-ray. It’s that quiet. When playing movies on blu-ray, it’s quieter than my stand alone blu-ray player.

+ The build quality feels fantastic. Small, sleek, solid. I like the matte look better than the shiny, but that’s just personal.

+ The wireless controller takes two hours to charge, gives you 20 hours of playtime.

– The charge cable for the controller is short, less than 5 feet. My couch is nine feet away from a 50″ plasma, and I only have the one controller, so when it dies, I’m not going to be playing while its charging.

I have no regrets. The library of games for the PS3 Console is big enough and good enough now, I feel I can play a great game each month and never have any slow periods.

PS3 Console – Thank You Amazon

The PS3 Console slim so far is a great system. Same game play as the launch PS3 Console’s but a better price, runs cooler, and it has more memory. I did run into a few issues, mine was running very loud (apparently from some of the other reviews) and it was freezing up. I understand that a new system is bound to have some bugs on a few select systems. I would not hesitate to buy this system because from my experience sony makes excellent products. I was just very unlucky to recieve a DOA. I called Amazon and they are replacing my system without discussion. I feel confident that my new system will be just fine. If you do recieve a DOA do not worry about getting your money back or another system. Thank you Amazon for your excellent customer service. I would not hesitate in purchasing this item.

PS3 Console – Great Console

Full disclosure first, which is needed, sadly, these days.

I have owned two Xbox 360s, neither hardware failed, and decided to trade it in to get the new PS3 Console when it came out. I LOVED my old PS2, and was waiting for the price to come down on the PS3 Console. Not only did the price come, but they added the 120gb hard drive. I own no PS2 games anymore, so backwards compatible means nothing to me as I bought this to play PS3 Console games and watch Blu Ray movies.

I love this consoles. I own Buzz (5 stars), Motorstorm (4) and Madden NFL 10 (5 – best football game ever) and am very pleased.

The only negatives I have for the console is having to install the demos after they are downloaded and before you can play them. {EDIT: This seems to have changed as you no longer have to do a manual install of downloaded demos/games.} Can be 3-6 minutes per game. Same thing with most disc games there is a small install once. Not a huge issue, but a bit annoying.

This is a super QUITE console, and does not get that hot. The classic PlayStation controller is still here, and I still love it.

All in all, for [...], this is the best console for the money. Blu-Ray, free online and built in wireless alone will have you getting your money worth, and to me, making it a MUCH better deal over the 360.

Many things can be argued about the quality of the 360 exclusives vs. the PS3 Console exclusives (including the downloadable games). That being said, MOST games are cross platform or will eventually go cross platform. Just WAY too many users on each system to shut out the potential revenue streams by making a game an exclusive for either console (360 or PS3, Wii is not in this league).

Heck, I originally bought a 360 for BioShock, then it came out for PS3 Console months (year?) later. So be patient, you never know.

World of Warcraft Guides – are They Worth It?

Nowadays, on almost every World of Warcraft websites, there are advertisements of World of Warcraft guides on how to power level and farm gold in the shortest amount of time, but how many of us actually know which guide is really good. Also, are such guides value for money to teach you how to play?

For starters, World of Warcraft guides are like user guides that are created by experienced players in the game to help new players play better and become more efficient at playing World of Warcraft.

Of course such guides will never be officially release by Blizzard since they would rather you discover the game yourself. However for gamers who are tired of grinding levels, looking up how to complete quests or do not want to spend too much time leveling up, such World of Warcraft guides can come in very handy.

Unfortunately, there are so many WoW guides are there now that it’s hard to differentiate which are the really good ones. A good tip is to search for guides that have already establish a reputation among the World of Warcraft players.

Examples of 3 best known professional World of Warcraft guides out there are:

Joana’s Horde Leveling Guide, Brian Kopp’s Alliance Leveling Guide, and Luke Brown’s Gold Guide

These 3 guides are the professional ones that will be really worth your effort as compared to other unknown guides. Unlike some other guides that are either too confusing for the new players or will only teach you to grind your heart out, these 3 World of Warcraft leveling guides offer the most detailed, step by step power leveling and gold making strategies. Furthermore all these guides are highly rated by many other World of Warcraft gamers who have actually used them and they are proven to be efficient for both new and experienced players alike.

So no matter if you are just a beginner or what level you are currently at, a copy of any of these World of Warcraft Guides can certainly help solve your quests frustration and you will also find yourself definitely leveling up a LOT faster.

So isn’t it time to start taking your World of Warcraft adventure to the NEXT Level!

World of Warcraft Mods: Are They Worth the Compromise?

If you are new to the game of World of Warcraft, you are probably getting used to a lot of the basic terminology that is used. One of the terms that many players look into is mods. There are a large number of World of Warcraft mods that are available to players around the world. Popular websites like Curse host a number of these modifications. However, it is important to understand that Blizzard Entertainment did not create these mods, nor do they condone the use of these modifications.

As a matter of fact, when you sign up to play World of Warcraft, you must agree to the Terms of Service that Blizzard Entertainment has in place, and these terms specifically outline the fact that mods, or any other program that alters game play should not be used. The questions is, then, are World of Warcraft mods worth the potential compromise?

Blizzard Entertainment has locked many accounts due to the fact that World of Warcraft mods were in place and being used as an unfair advantage over other players. Now, many of these modifications are exceptional when it comes to benefits – there is no doubt over that – but are they so good that you are willing to risk your account? Here, I will detail some of the most popular World of Warcraft mods currently available. Maybe you are just curious as to what is available, or maybe these mods are worth the risk of compromising your account – whatever the reason you want to learn more about these in-game modifications, the information listed below will help:

1. QuestHelper – QuestHelper is a very popular WoW mod in that it assists the player in determining the quickest route possible when it comes to completing quests. Not only will this World of Warcraft mod help you find the areas where you turn quests in, but it will direct you to specified locations that are a part of that quest.

2. Auctioneer – For the World of Warcraft entrepreneur, the Auctioneer modification is extremely popular! This tool helps you to establish the true worth of an item, what it sells for, what price you should sell it for, and many other types of useful information. If you are addicted to the in-game Auction House, you are sure to find that Auctioneer is a tool that you can’t live without!

3. Cartographer Complete – If you are sick and tired of having to wait to open up areas on your map, or find certain places in order to complete quests, the Cartographer Complete may prove to be a useful World of Warcraft mod. This program details the levels of creatures in certain areas, where treasure is located, identifies locations of herbs, and more!

This is just a small list of the most popular World of Warcraft mods available for WoW players. They are very tempting to try, I admit, but the question that you have to ask yourself is – is it worth the potential of account compromise? It is very likely that you have worked diligently to get where you are today as far as your character is concerned, and the last thing you probably want to do is compromise it by implementing the use of a World of Warcraft mod that is considered to be cheating.

Tom Kranz has written articles on World of Warcraft gold and the many World of Warcraft mods which are available, as well as a number of World of Warcraft guides.

The World of Warcraft Prices you Need to Pay to Play, are Well Worth it

Many seem to be put off by the fact that if they want to play World of Warcraft, they will have to pay for the privilege. This has turned away more than one potential World of Warcraft gamer, but as the more than 8 million other gamers can attest, the World of Warcraft prices you need to pay to play, are well worth it.

If however you find that you are not interested in paying the World of Warcraft prices without first knowing what you are getting yourself into, you have the choice of downloading a World of Warcraft trial version. You will be able to play this trial version free, for a period of ten days, and it is available through the World of Warcraft website.

There is however no need to be put off by the World of Warcraft prices as they are quite reasonable and will give you all the access you need to the World of Warcraft. The World of Warcraft prices structure starts with the purchase of the official World of Warcraft software game package.

Although in the early days of its release World of Warcraft prices for the game software were somewhere in the region of $50 (that’s United States dollars), it has since dropped down to a more manageable $20, or thereabouts, price tag.

The monthly World of Warcraft prices for an account, you will find is somewhere in the range of $13-15 for North America. World of Warcraft prices in other parts of the world vary accordingly and depending where you find yourself you could pay as low as $0.50 for a day (North America), or as high as (approximately) $1.40 in some countries (Eastern Asia).

Not everyone will want to pay even such low World of Warcraft prices though, as many people simply don’t have the time or the inclination to play World of Warcraft all day long, every day. Unfortunately the shortest time period which can be purchased is one month’s (30 days) worth of game time.

This in itself can help as you can spread the cost of playing World of Warcraft through many months if you don’t play that often. World of Warcraft prices for the Burning Crusade expansion pack are also considered to be reasonable, with the game software retailing for somewhere in the region of $40.

And this only due to the fact that the release of the expansion was carried out only a few months previously in January of 2007. There is no doubt that as with other World of Warcraft prices, the Burning Crusade expansion pack prices will also fall to a more reasonable level.

And if you’re interested in board games over video games you will find World of Warcraft prices for the World of Warcraft Board Game are also very reasonable. They are retailed at $80 per game and give you more than enough value for money.
